George Rohr began actively investing across asset classes in Russia and Eastern Europe shortly after the collapse of the Soviet Union.  He and Moris Tabacinic were among the earliest Western participants in the privatization opportunities offered by several of the region's markets.  They founded NCH Capital in 1993.  Mr. Rohr's interest in the region began as the result of a media-related opportunity he pursued in Russia in 1991.  He began his career at Newsweek, Inc. in 1978 as Director of Special Projects.  He subsequently founded a medical publishing company that he sold in 1986, and then acquired two other information services companies, both of which he subsequently sold to major North American information services companies.  Mr. Rohr received an AB in Economics from Harvard College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Moris Tabacinic has been an active investor in Russia and Eastern Europe for over sixteen years.  From 1976 to 1991, he led a series of successful emerging market real estate developments, and was responsible for the management of a family-owned apparel manufacturing business.  Following the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, Mr. Tabacinic began actively investing across asset classes in the region; he and Mr. Rohr were among the earliest Western participants in the privatization opportunities offered by several of the region's markets.  They founded NCH in 1993.  Mr. Tabacinic received a BS in Industrial Engineering from the Worcester Polytechnic Institute.  Messrs. Tabacinic and Rohr are brothers-in-law.
